Speckled Trout
When trout are on shallow flats 1-3' deep, I prefer to work a lure "above" them. They have a STRONG upward feeding instinct. Techniques which provide for this presentation are "strolling" a minnow, topwater, subsurface action with soft jerkbaits, swimming a swimbait, or hard, suspending jerkbaits.
